Last week I stated that I had attempted to call Erin Platt and the number was not in service. Erin called today and I found I had called the wrong number, my mistake. We then had a congenial discussion and agreed to disagree. Accessing again http://www.opensecrets.org/. it remains that Chris Dodd was number one and Barak Obama second in campaign donations from Fannie and Freddie.
Brad Vineyard stated last week that there were verbal threats of, “kill him” and “terrorist” at a Republican rally; however, further investigation now has reported, no one, including the secret service personnel heard what the one reporter had claimed.
Now we have heard in Obama say that he wants to spread the wealth around. 2007 IRS reports show the Obamas donated 3% to charity while the McCains donated 24%. Government spreading the wealth around certainly is socialism. Obama’s campaign received over $150 million in September and much of it was from outside the U.S. Should the election of President be financed with foreign money?
Locally, County Clerk candidate Pat Feeley and County Board candidate Jim Feeley have long term experience as appointed and elected officials in Chicago Politics. This could put two family members in county government. Do we want Chicago style politics here in Kendall County?
I recommend Debbie Gillette for County Clerk, and Jeff Wehrli and Bob Wyngard for County Board District 2. These candidates will keep Kendall County from becoming just another Chicago suburb.
